Associate Professor of Clinical Education, USC, MFT Program Coorindator Children, Women, Men, Trauma, Self Actualization, Anxiety/Depression 110 W. Ocean Blvd. Suite 18 Long Beach CALIFORNIA 90802 USA Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it I work using an existential/feminist approach to therapy. My goal is to help clients figure out what life they want to live, evaluate what is getting in their way, and help them develop a plan and access resources to overcome challenges to reaching their full potential. The work is not simple, however. It often involves confronting and processing old wounds, trauma, abuse, and crises, as these past experiences often affect our functioning today. I cultivate a deep understanding of my clients' experiences. I provide genuine acceptance and therapeutic love for my clients as they are, including all parts of themselves, even the parts that are more difficult for them to accept, themselves. I create a safe environment where clients and I work together to confront difficult issues, in a way that is the least threatening that we can manage. I utilize evidence based practice, including Cognitive approaches, mindfulness-based practices, deep empathic relationship building, a balance of support and challenge, skills building, and other approaches supported in the scientific literature. Because I work full-time as a professor at USC, my practice is limited to Thursdays in Long Beach. Please email me to inquire about openings. My cash fee is $185 per session.
