The Association for Humanistic Psychology began in 1962 as a vehicle to develop a bold new force in psychology that emphasized the conscious mind and the human ability to create our lives and communities. Today, AHP is an international network of people with diverse talents and interests who champion a focus on the whole person in therapy, education, business, and the community. We are dedicated to the exploration, healing and expansion of the human psyche, the mind and soul, and to building a more humane world.

Our members are drawn from every continent and many professions. Personal encounter and social responsibility are at the heart of what we do.
